So how does it work?
The most commonly used carpet cleaning technique today is the hot water extraction method. This method of cleaning is globally recognised as the most powerful method of cleaning. It leaves carpets looking and feeling refreshed. This is the preferred method of carpet cleaning by ICS.
- Firstly we pre-spray your carpets with a cleaning agent to help break down soiling, grease, fat, dust-mites and other bugs. There are many different pre-sprays, which are specific to types of soil. We will recommend and use the most suitable solution.
- The carpet is brushed with a 'carpet pile brush' This pushes the pre-spray to the very roots of the fibre allowing the solution to work the whole way through the carpet.
- The carpets are rinsed with a powerful extraction machine. This machine sprays water into the carpet under pressure to rinse the solutions out of the carpet. A powerful vacuum removes all the solutions, soils, and mites back to a waste tank. This machine will leave your carpets dry in 2 - 4 hours and looking fresh and vibrant.

Q: Do you use steam?
A: No, Steam can be extremely damaging for carpets we use hot water at approximately 80-90oC which may give the appearance of steam.
Q: Do you use chemicals?
A: Yes, Water in itself is a chemical; the chemicals we use are diluted in water and are safe for children and pets to be around.
Q: How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
A: Regular carpet cleaning helps keep carpets looking new for longer. Over time skin cells, mud, chemicals, pollutants, and other soils build up in the carpet. All this lies in the carpet like sand. Every time you walk over the carpet the 'grit' type soil rubs against the base of the carpet fibres like sand paper. Regular carpet cleaning will remove these soils, stop traffic lanes appearing in the carpet, and will increase the life span of your carpet.
